winooski farmers' market

unfortunately, i will not be at the winooski winter farmers' market this saturday...i will, however, be at the williston winter farmers' market on december 12th.

cupcake flavors for saturday that the winooski farmers' market

hi :) my little cupcake will be at the winooski farmers' market this saturday at the o'briens community center from 10-2. flavors will be:

gingerbread-lemon-gingerbread cupcake with lemon buttercream with crystallized ginger on top;

chocolate peppermint-chocolate cupcake with peppermint buttercream with crushed candy canes on top;

vegan margarita-lime-tequila cupcake with a lime-tequila frosting!

first of all, i must apologize for posting a day late, but i have a good excuse...apparently, i still live in the stone age! i've recently moved to a rather rural part of vermont and the town does not have the internet yet...yes, you heard me right, does not have the internet. comcast has dug the lines (we know this for sure or we wouldn't have bought the house) but they just haven't "turned it on" yet. so, i've been almost 2 months without internet (except for my breaks at work, one of which i'm on now).
okay, now for the cupcakes...i like sweet potatoes, i like cupcakes, so i knew this cupcake was going to be tasty and it was. the marshmallows worked out perfectly...i was going to make marshmallow buttercream, since i've never broiled anything in my life and was kind of nervous about that, but i decided to give it a go...however, i almost burned the marshmallows trying to great a good shot of them in the oven.
but, they turned out pretty great and they were so yummy!

i halved the recipe and got 30 mini cupcakes...cause mini is how i roll...

vanilla squared-vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream;

malted milk ball-chocolate and malted milk ball cupcake with malted milk buttercream topped with a whopper;

chocolate coconut almond-chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream, topped with shredded coconut and slivered almonds;

maple walnut-maple and walnut cupcake with maple buttercream topped with walnuts;

maple walnut bacon-maple, walnut and bacon cupcake with maple buttercream topped with walnuts and bacon.

the williston winter market is located in the cafeteria at the williston central school...i hope to see you there!
