it didn't rain...too hard.

the last time that the weatherman predicted rain for the farmers' market, i made significantly less cupcakes than i usually do...and guess what, it didn't rain. so this week, even though there was a 100% chance for rain today, i decided to just go ahead and make as many as i do every other week. what's the worst that could happen? i'd just put them in the fridge and on monday, my co-workers would eat cold, not so moist cupcakes, but they would still be happy :) well, it's a good thing that i made as many as i did because people still want cupcakes even if it's sprinkling outside, even if you can't feel your toes...i sold out before noon and as i was driving away...it started to really rain.

lemon raspberry-lemon and raspberry cupcake with raspberry buttercream;

rocky road-chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting sprinkled with mini marshmallows, walnuts and chocolate chips;

malted milk ball-malted milk cupcake with crushed malted milk balls and malted milk frosting, topped with a whopper!

i had an awesome day today at the williston farmers' market! i sold out around 1:15 and my favorite friends came out to see me. it was such a lovely day...sunny and warm and it didn't rain! thanks to everyone that came out to get cupcakes!

flavors for this week at the williston farmers' market will be...

turtle--chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream, drizzled in caramel and chocolate and topped with slivered almonds;

strawberry cheesecake--vanilla cupcake stuffed with cheesecake in the middle, topped with vanilla buttercream and strawberries;

fluffernutter--peanut butter cupcake with marshmallow fluff buttercream topped with a mini nutter butter.

pretty slow day today at the williston farmers' market :(

despite today being an absolutely beautiful day, it was very quiet at the farmers' market. maybe it was too hot? and it was hot; but, i had a nice spot in the shade, and my buttercream held up quite nicely. i made these chocolate raspberry cupcakes with the raspberries that i picked at the boutin family farm...they were yummy in my tummy :)

raspberries!

i picked raspberries today after work at the boutin family farm in williston. i was the only one there, and it was so peaceful...the raspberry bushes go on and on and on...this means that i'll have chocolate raspberry cupcakes this weekend at the williston farmers' market.

i had a great day today at the farmers' market! i sold out around 1:00, and it was a sunny, beautiful day! thank you to everyone that stopped by!

flavors this week at the williston farmers' market will be...

chocolate chip cookie: brown sugar cupcake and cookie dough buttercream with a mini chocolate chip cookie on top;

black forest: chocolate cupcake with a cherry center and vanilla buttercream topped with more cherries;

pina colada: a pineapple cupcake with rum flavoring and a coconut and rum flavored buttercream with shredded coconut on top!

beautiful weather at the williston farmers' market saturday

the weather was absolutely amazing yesterday at the farmers' market...it was a great day! i made these lemon raspberry cupcakes and they sold out in a flash...i'm going to have to make them again very soon, plus it gives me a reason to go raspberry picking again (which was so much fun!)

i also met some really sweet people at the chocolate walk in richmond. i love how excited people get over my cupcakes.
